First , there are the ones who are truly happy for you. No shade, no backhanded comments. They see you now and say, “Damn, you did it.” They admire you. Maybe it’s ‘cause they know someone they love who’s still out there and they’re holding on to hope. Or maybe they’ve just seen too many falls and are grateful you didn’t. Those people? Keep ‘em close. Then , there are the ones who don’t care. They don’t cheer, but they’re not praying for your downfall either. Maybe they’re numb to it. Maybe they’ve seen too many fake comebacks.
